The moving assembly line

Ford installs moving assembly lines at Highland Park, Michigan. Assembling a Model T took 12 and a half hours; by early 1914, a finished car comes off the line every 93 minutes. Between 1908 and 1927, the car's price falls from $850 to as low as $260.
