Auxílio Emergencial: R$600 for 68 million
During the pandemic, Lei 13.982 creates the Auxílio Emergencial (emergency aid): R$600 a month for informal and low-income workers and R$1,200 for mothers who head their households. There are 68.2 million beneficiaries, about a third of Brazil's population.
