Hinton recommends basic income to the British government

Geoffrey Hinton tells the BBC he is "very worried about AI taking lots of mundane jobs" and says he advised the British government that "universal basic income was a good idea". In his view, productivity gains would go to the rich, not to the people who lose their jobs.
