The first recorded strike in history

In year 29 of Ramesses III, the royal tomb builders of Deir el-Medina lay down their tools because their grain rations have not arrived. They march past the guard posts shouting "We are hungry!" The scribe Amennakht records it all on a papyrus, now in the Egyptian Museum of Turin.
